LEGO® Valentine Infantry Mk. III Tank
Over 8,000 built with 11 different variants and Marks, the Valentine tank was produced by the United Kingdom up until 1944. The construction started off as a rivited hull but then the method was adapted to a welded construction. With a weight of 17 tons, it's top speed was 14.9mph/24kph on road. It's role was an infantry tank so it needed to protect infantry and soldiers who were advancing behind them witht he objective to break through enemy defences. In North Africa extra fuel tanks were added to the back of the tank to extend it's range in the desert. It was supplied in large numbers to the USSR for the Eastern Front and built under licence in Canada. The manufacturer was Vickers-Armstrongs. Overall the Valentine Infantry Tank Mk. III was a reliable and durable tank.
