The 101st Airborne Division "The Screaming Eagles" is a famous US Army Paratrooper unit in WW2, which took part in operations such as Operation Overlord, Operation Market Gardens and most famously holding the town of Bastogne during the Battle of the Bulge during the later stages of World War II.  'Easy Company' became inmortalised by the book (and later TV series) Band of Brothers which cemented their bravery, courage and honour forever.
