The Humvee stands for - The High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle or HMMWV and the program started in the 1970s. The vehicle has a 6.5 litre 8-cylinder 190hp diesel engine and can reach speeds of 78mph. The latest developed versions are designated M1114 which has increased armour and protection systems.
